PMSIV® with IPMA®

The Institute for Project Management in Africa (IPMA®) incorporates and make use of the PMBOK®, PRINCE2®, and TOC® project management methodologies and techniques within its own Project Management Simplicity In Visibility (PMSIV®) methodology.

The Project Management Simplicity In Visibility (PMSIV®) methodology is focussing on making available, at any given time, a High Level, Time Snapshot (HLTS®) of the complete project’s status; immaterial of its complexity.

A PMSIV® HLTS® is typically an A4 drawing, in colour, that provides everyone involved in the project with the instant visibility of the entire project’s completion status and well-being. This includes the initial project scope and variations, the project phases and sub-phases, the initial planed completion dates, the revised targeted completion dates, the quality status, identification of problems, financial and budget status, human resources, procurement plan, risk management, etc.

A PMSIV® HLTS® drawing can be completed for phases, sub-phases or sub-projects, as required.

With the available visibility at hand, basic PMBOK®, PRINCE2®, and TOC® project management methodologies and techniques can be made use of for the effective management, communication, control, risk assessment and completion of the project.
